Interest rates are still low, and prices seem to be stabilizing.Recent HappeningsAre you wanting 100% financing on your house?The mortgage market has is changing, and it is getting harder to get 100% financing. Why is this happening?It is happening because of the number of people that have gone in to foreclosure lately because of not being able to make their payment. This has caused mortgage companies to loose money, and not have enough to make new loans, or have gone out of business. The reason that they have run out of money is that investors are less willing to buy the loans, so the mortgage companies have to hold onto them. LenderImplode.com has a running count of the lenders that have gone out of business. As of this writing the count is 44. How does this affect me?In order to qualify for a 100% loan (or a 80%/20%) you need to have a lowed debt to income ratio, a higher fico score, and will probable pay a higher interest rate. If you can get qualified for a 100% loan you should find a house fast. What should I do now?There are still several lenders that offer 100% Financing. You should call and speak to a good loan officer in order to get more information. If you don't already have a good one then please give me a call so I can refer you to one that I know.
