About the Fresno AreaFresno is in the California central valley, just about centered in the state. It is a great area to live, work and play. Fresno is a large city with a small town feel most of the time. It is centrally located to Sacramento, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. Yosemite Valley is less than 2 hours away, and the Ocean is just a bit farther in the opposite direction.Fresno County has historically been centered on agriculture. Fresno County produces more agricultural goods than any other county in the country. Agriculture is still a major factor in the Fresno economy, but other large industries are in the area also. Because of the central location several large stores have put distribution centers in the area, and there are several large call centers. |
