How do people become rich?
People become rich because of their investments, Most of the richest
people in the world are that way because of investments that they have made
in Real Estate. According to Forbes magazine's article “The World’s
Richest People” 46 out of the worlds 691 billionaires (7 percent) made
their money in the real estate industry. 18 (3 percent) more had diversified
investments that included large real estate holdings.
I don't have a Million Dollars, Can I invest in Real Estate?
Yes you can, There are many different levels of investments in Real
Estate.
The first investment that most people make is their Home. After that
they move to small multifamily houses, then larger apartments, or commercial
buildings.
I've seen infomercials on TV that show how to get rich quick buying real
estate for 40% of the market value! I want to do that!
Good luck, Those programs only work in very limited circumstances. The
speakers who promote the programs make their money for their seminars not
real estate investments.
These "Gurus" have multiple seminars a month witch attract over 1000
people a month combined, who each pay $500 for one of the cheap ones. That
means that the "Guru" makes $500,000 per month on the seminars. Most of them
try to enroll you into a program that costs at least $2000, and give very
little in return.

The best way to get started is to meet with a knowledgeable Realtor who
is involved in Investment Properties in your area. The Realtor can then talk
with you about your long-term goals, and help you come up with an investment
plan.
